Description

The 1984 (S) Olympic is a commemorative coin struck at the San Francisco Mint. Total mintage reached 1.8 million. The second silver dollar in the 1984 Olympics commemorative program, this coin features the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The obverse features the gateway to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with two headless torso statues flanking an Olympic flame, while the reverse displays a perched American eagle atop an olive branch. Designed by Robert Graham. Weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #965372. This coin is the companion piece to the 1983 Olympiad Dollar.
