Thirteenth doubled die obverse cataloged for the 1971-D Kennedy Half Dollar, this variety exhibits a medium spread on LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date — a broad distribution of doubling across multiple obverse elements that indicates significant hub displacement during die preparation. Die markers UVC-262 and DMR-019 define the variety across multiple die stages: Stage A shows a light die gouge northeast in the field at the lower back hairline with both surfaces in EDS, Stage B displays a light die crack through the top of the T of LIBERTY at early-mid die state (EMDS), and Stage C at LDS remains unconfirmed.
