This variety was discovered on the 1971 (D) Jefferson Nickel, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-450 DMR-003 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Obverse is MDS Die scratches East- West on Reverse – MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). D/D North.
