Cataloged with a Wexler Team attribution, the 1964 WDDO-011 is a doubled die obverse variety from the Philadelphia Mint's massive 1964 production run of 2,648,575,000 business strikes. Hub doubling on the Lincoln cent occurs during die manufacture, when the working die receives two impressions from the hub with a slight positional shift between them, embedding a permanent doubled image into the die steel.
