1964-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-015

Description

A Class II spread towards the center shows on the ERTY of LIBERTY, IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, and the hair at the top and back of the head. The TY of LIBERTY is tripled. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs south from the bottom of the nose just to the right of the tip of the nose. Reverse: Flanged G in FG. Cross-referenced as CONECA: 8-O-II Comments: This variety was previously listed as WDDO-026 but was reassigned to help fill the large number of “holes” in the listings after the recognition of the master die doubling and the doubled working hubs.
