1950-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-007

Description

Cataloged by VarietyVista with attribution codes UVC-790 and DMR-009, this 1950-S Roosevelt Silver Dime exhibits a S/S Southeast repunched mintmark where the initial S punch was placed slightly northwest of its final position, and the corrective second punch shifted the letter to the southeast, leaving a remnant of the first impression visible at the upper-left extent of the mintmark. Three documented die stages record the die\'s progressive condition: Stage A in early die state (unconfirmed), Stage B at mid-die state with the reverse at MDS and die scratches running north-south on the obverse, and Stage C in late die state (unconfirmed).
