Ranking third in the catalog for the 1950-S date, this Roosevelt Silver Dime RPM-003 documented by VarietyVista carries die markers UVC-202 / DMR-004 tracking three stages: Stage A at EDS (unconfirmed); Stage B at MDS (unconfirmed); Stage C with the reverse at LDS, featuring a strong die scratch running South-Southeast on the back of Roosevelt's neck at LDS. The die scratch on the neck provides an immediately identifiable marker independent of the mintmark, allowing die confirmation even on worn specimens. Struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1950 in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighing 2.50 grams at 17.91 mm diameter, this dime bears John R. Sinnock's portrait adapted from a profile he had previously prepared.
