Description
S/S/S North, North Die Markers: Obverse: A series of die scratches run North from between the 1 & 9 in the date and end in the field below the nose. A series of N-S die scratches show below the front hair curl. A short NW-SE die gouge shows inside the D of VDB. Light die scratches run North above the TY of LIBERTY. Reverse: A N-S die scratch runs directly in the center of the O in OF. A long die scratch runs South just to the right of the vertical bar of the T in CENT. A series of light N-S die scratches run South from the first A in AMERICA and are crossed by a slightly stronger NNW-SSE die scratch. A die scratch runs North from the lower right wheat stem and cuts through the last A in AMERICA. A light die scratch runs South from the left edge of the horizontal crossbar of the first T in STATES and ends just right of the lower right side of the first S in STATES.
