Description

Cross-referenced as FS-801 in the Cherry Pickers' Guide, this 1948-D Franklin Half Dollar DDR-003 displays medium spread to the northwest on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED, HALF DOLLAR, the dots, and the area right of the bell clapper. The variety is also a dual variety, with the obverse identified as DDO-003. Die markers include UVC-011 and die marriage DMR-004. Stage C is the only confirmed die state, documenting the reverse in Late Die State with the obverse DDO-003 also in LDS. Stage A in Early Die State and Stage B in Mid-Die State remain unconfirmed.
