1947-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-006
Error
Description
Documented by VarietyVista, this 1947-S RPM-006 Lincoln Wheat Cent displays S/S East with MMS-004 (Trumpet Tail) and carries die markers UVC-296 / DMR-009 with confirmed observations across all three stages: Stage A with both obverse and reverse at EDS; Stage B with both at MDS; Stage C with both at LDS. The complete confirmation without “unconfirmed” notations documents a thorough examination record. The Trumpet Tail style provides an additional attribution layer beyond displacement direction. Struck at San Francisco in 1947 in 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc, weighing 3.11 grams at 19.05 mm diameter. Brenner's wheat ears reverse was entering its final decade before the Memorial reverse transition in 1959. Each San Francisco working die received its S mintmark through individual manual punch application.
