Error
Description
A very weak spread toward the center shows on the designer's initials. Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. Die crack south from the throat above the last T in TRUST. N/S die scratch through the eyelid. Reverse: Trumpet tail mintmark. The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1946-S 10¢ WDDR-004. A spread toward the center shows on AMERICA, DIME, UNUM and weak on DIME. The reverse is also an RPM listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1946-S 10¢ WRPM-009. It is an S/S Southeast. ENE/WSW die scratch through the UNI of UNITED. Die gouge below the left leg of the R in AMERICA.
