Cataloged by VarietyVista with identifiers UVC-3098 and DMR-033, this 1945 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent features strong spread south on Lincoln's eyelid, one of the most visually accessible doubled die diagnostics on any mid-1940s cent. The southward displacement of the eyelid creates a secondary contour below the primary lid line, producing a distinctive "double eyelid" effect that seasoned collectors can spot even on moderately circulated specimens. Three die stages record the die's progression: Stage A is early die state, currently unconfirmed. Stage B reaches mid die state with a light die clash visible at the throat on the obverse, joined by east-west die scratches on the upper left reverse. Stage C represents late die state, unconfirmed.
