Occupying the middle ground between DDO-006's strong spread and the light spread typical of most 1943-S varieties, DDO-008 on the 1943-S wartime Jefferson Nickel displays medium spread on IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, the five-pointed star, and the date. Die markers UVC-750 and DMR-027 fingerprint this working die. The medium classification means the secondary hub impression produced discernible secondary images visible at moderate magnification — more prominent than the subtle thickening of light-spread varieties, yet without the dramatic separation that characterizes DDO-006's strong spread.
