Description

As the primary catalog entry for the 1941-S date, this VarietyVista-documented Lincoln Wheat Cent RPM-001 features a reverse die change mid-production. Die markers span two pairings: UVC-099 / DMR-003 covers Stage A with a die crack across the lower lapel at EDS, a die crack from the lower right wheat to rim at LDS, a very light die crack from E of ONE to the second U of PLURIBUS, and a light die crack in upper left wheat grains. Then UVC-1075 / DMR-015 covers Stage B with a light die crack on the shoulder at MDS and a freshly changed reverse die at EDS. Stage C is LDS (unconfirmed). The reverse condition reset from worn to fresh EDS confirms a mid-service reverse die replacement.
