1941 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-006

Description

Cataloged by VarietyVista, DDO-006 is a proof doubled die obverse on the 1941 Lincoln Wheat Cent from the Philadelphia Mint. Proof cents from this era were struck in limited quantities, with only 15,287 proof sets produced in 1941, making any proof variety inherently scarce. The doubling presents as a strong spread appearing as one half extra bar on the right top edge of the horizontal bar of the last T in TRUST. Die stages are tracked under UVC-1478 and DMR-008.
