1936-D Repunched Mintmark WRPM-008

Description

Showing a clear D/D Northwest repunched mintmark, WRPM-008 on the 1936-D Winged Liberty Head (Mercury) Dime records a hand-punching misalignment where the Denver mint mark was impressed twice with the first punch positioned to the northwest of the final placement. Die markers on the obverse include die pitting above OD in GOD and a die scratch running WNW to ESE below and between I and B in LIBERTY. No significant reverse die markers have been noted.
