1904-O VAM-26A
Error
Description
1904-O VAM-26A Far Date, Doubled 19, High O Tilted Left, Gouges in Wing Comments: The VAM Plate below points to arguably PMD. However, there are three short die scratches in the lower right hand corner of the photo. This is likely what Leroy was trying to shoot. Leroy was sent a V26 PL EDS, V26 LDS, and V44 that shares the same reverse as the V26. The three short scratches are on all three coins, and thus did not show up during the life of the reverse die. Hence the delisting. 26A III2 14 - C4h (Far Date, Doubled 19, High O Tilted Left, Gouges in Wing) (181) Reverse C4h- Three short horizontal die gouges in top center of eagle's right wing. image:1904_O_VAM_26A_Gouges_Wing.jpg
