Description
1900-S VAM-8 Doubled 190, S Set High Discovered by Martin Field, December 1978. 8 (revised 2008) III2 5 • C3d (Doubled 190, S Set High) (?) Obverse III2 5 - Doubled 190 in date. 1 has spike at top in middle of curve. 9 has short spike at top left outside and top right inside of upper loop. Left 0 has a long curve of metal at top left outside. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C3d - V S mint mark set high. DPIS - RE2/LH4 Emission Sequence Obverse: 8, 16 Reverse Comments: The example below has Reverse C3d - V S mint mark set high. A revision of the listing was necessary. A die crack develops across the apex of the cap in later die stages Near date.
