Description
1897-S VAM-6 Doubled 1, S Tilted Right Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974. 6 III2 4 - C3b (Doubled 1, S Tilted Right) Obverse III2 4 - 1 doubled slightly at bottom of upper crossbar. Reverse C3b - Mint mark centered and tilted slightly to right. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: This obverse shared with 1897-S VAM-5, 1897-S VAM-5A, VAM-6, and 1897-S VAM-6A. These images are from a 66DMPL example produced shortly after the dies were heavily repolished from the 1897-S VAM-6A clash.
