1897-S VAM-13A Near Date, Doubled Leg, Spiked Lip, Gouge M, Die Break Left Wreath Discovered by Rickey Bailey, January 2011. 13 III2 6 - C3c (Near Date, Doubled Leg, Spiked Lip, Gouge M, Die Break Left Wreath ) (186) Reverse C3c - Small die break at base of second leaf cluster from top of left wreath. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Reverse C3c was assigned to VAM-8 high mint mark. Thus, VAM-13/13A should have been the assigned to the next reverse C3d. The exact same pair of dies was used to produce the 1897-S VAM-13 and the 1897-S VAM-13A.
