Description
1897-S VAM-3 S Tilted Right Discovered by Charles Wallace, February 1959. 3 III2 12 - C3b (Thread Impression, S Tilted Right) Obverse III2 12 - Date set at the left side of normal position. Curved thread impression on Liberty's cap between the two cotton leaves. Another thread impression in Liberty's hair right of the D-shaped void. Die Marker - Strong die scratch in the middle of the base of the I in LIBERTY. Reverse C3b - Mint mark centered and tilted slightly to right.
