The key reverse diagnostic is a heavy die crack at the top of STATES with a small die break developing at the top left of the E — progressive die failure that indicates this was a later die state than the parent VAM-7 variety. A critical attribution note: VAM-7 and VAM-7A were struck from the exact same pair of dies, with the 7A designation marking a later stage of the reverse die's life after the die crack and break had developed.
