Description
Discovery July 2022, Roger Bradshaw III2 8 • C3h (Near Date, O Tilted Right Set High and Left) (?) Obverse III2 8 - Date set left of normal position. Possible repunched 97 visible at top left of 9 and on top edge of 7. ''Die Marker'' - Polishing lines in LIBERTY Reverse C3h - O mint mark set high and left, tilted strongly to the right. Tilt is stronger than VAM 10 (C3f) reverse. ''Die Markers'' - Line in wing-neck gap, fairly straight peripheral die cracks on later die stages. DPIS - RE2/LH4 ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This used to be shown as VAM 6, but the mint mark position was not a match for the picture in the VAM book or specification. # It could be argued that the mintmark is doubled (inside bottom left).
