Description
1892-P VAM-6 Far Date, Doubled 1-2 and Reverse Discovered by Martin Field, October 1982. 6 III2 2 - C3b (Far Date, Doubled 1-2 and Reverse) (190) Obverse III2 2 - 1 doubled under upper crossbar. 2 doubled as thin line across top. Open 9. Date set further right than normal. Same obverse as VAM-2 Reverse C3b- Outer portion doubled with lower inside of letters doubled in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and top inside of ONE DOLLAR. Upper part of wreath doubled on outside and lower part of right wreath doubled slightly on outside. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: While both may sport reverse doubling this is NOT the same reverse as found on the 1892-P VAM-3. Same obverse as 1892-P VAM-2. The date is actually a Very Far Date.
