Description
1888-S VAM-8 Doubled Stars, S/S Discovered by Steve Sabella, March 1980. 8 III2 6 C3e (Doubled Stars, S/S) (187) Obverse III2 6 - All left and right stars plus E PL-R doubled towards rim. Liberty head profile is also doubled. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C3e - IV S mint mark repunched with original showing as a horizontal curved line within middle of upper loop opening and lower loop is doubled at top inside. Top serif is doubled on the right side. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: This reverse shared w/ 1888-S VAM-8 & 1888-S VAM-11.
