1888-S VAM-14 Doubled Upper Right Obverse, S/S Upper Loop Discovered by John Roberts, March 10, 2010 14 III2 8 - C3b (Doubled Upper Right Obverse, S/S Upper Loop ) (186) Obverse III2 8 - Doubled upper right including top and lower inside of RIBUS UN towards rim, top and upper back of Phrygian cap, top edge of upper right cotton leaf, upper right edge of wheat leaves and hair below cotton bolls. Slightly doubled nose edge. Reverse C3b - Repunched mint mark with original showing as curved line on left side of upper loop opening. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: LVA Comments: 832px Comments: Exact same reverse as 1888-S VAM-2, 1888-S VAM-3C, 1888-S VAM-14 & 1888-S VAM-14A (despite what the revised listing says). The top of the B is one of the easier pickup points. The eagle has a die chip on top of his head. The1888-S VAM-2 Late Die State (LDS) has this same chip.
