Description
1888-S VAM-1B Pitted Reverse This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM. 1B III21 · C3a (Pitted Reverse) (187) I-2 R-5 Reverse C3a– Raised dots between E of ONE and D of DOLLAR from rim through wreath from rusted die. Patch of raised dots also on right side of left star. Also note pitting near the reverse left star. Inside the mint mark, there is a small bar visible. VAM-1B coins are rotated 10 degrees with the reverse rotated counter-clockwise relative to the obverse. Note that the [[1888-S VAM-12A is also pitted in the reverse, but the pitting is much less extensive.
