1888-O VAM-1A1 Clashed Obverse, Reverse BER, High O Revised 2013 This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. 1A1 (revised) III2 1 · C3c (Clashed Obverse, Reverse BER, High O) (181) Obverse III2 1– Clashed die with partial incuse O of III O mint mark from reverse showing above right wreath leaf. Reverse C3c– Medium III O mint mark set high. Clashed die with almost full raised E from LIBERTY on obverse below eagles tail feathers on left side and partial raised B at left of E and tip of R to right of E. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: This stage runs from "no crack" up to the point where the forming crack passes the center point of the "R". Once displacement is seen the coin is a 1888-O VAM-1A2 EDS. This die state will prove to be much harder to locate!
