1887-P VAM-14B
ErrorDescription
Discovered by Jerry Robertson in September 2006, VAM-14B was subsequently eliminated after being determined identical to VAM-24 for the 1887 Philadelphia Morgan Dollar. Classified III214, C3a reverse, with a Near Date obverse and a small vertical die gouge at the inside of the eagle's left leg (different dies than VAM-14A). Interest I-2, rarity R-5. Philadelphia produced approximately 20.29 million dollars in 1887. Though delisted, VAM-14B remains documented for historical reference so earlier certifications can be traced to the active VAM-24 listing. Eliminated, same as 1887-P VAM-24.
