Description

Discovered by Leonard Hinckley in February 1974, this Philadelphia Morgan dollar is cataloged as VAM-7.1 under classification III2 7 with a C3a reverse, titled High Date, carrying a rarity rating of 190. The obverse is defined by an entire date set higher than normal, visible without magnification on well-preserved specimens. Both open and closed 6 sub-varieties exist within this designation, adding a secondary classification layer for advanced specialists. The date position is indexed as DPIS LH3/B45LE.
