1886-P VAM-1M Bar 6 Upper Loop, Slightly Doubled Ear) Discovery 2015 1M III2 1 • C3a (Bar 6 Upper Loop, Slightly Doubled Ear) (189) Obverse III2 1- Slightly thick diagonal bar with short thin line above left end at lower inside of upper loop. Similar to VAM 1A but not as curved and more diffuse. Ear slightly doubled at right inside. Die marker- Tiny raised chip on top thin hair strand behind ear top. Later die states have die clash diagonal line at junction of jaw & neck but no letter transfer. (Formerly VAM 1A Die 2) Reverse C3a- Die marker- Long thin slightly diagonal polishing line in upper tail feathers above arrow shaft. (Formerly VAM 1A Die 2) DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: The former 1886-P VAM-1A Die 2. The doubling at the right inside of the ear is stronger in later die states due to die fatigue.
