Description
1886-P VAM-1.7 Closed 6 1.7 III2 1 - C3a (Closed 6) (189) Obverse III2 1 - Normal die of III2 type with closed 6. Upper knob touches lower loop. Some specimens show die chip between loops of first 8 on left side and some show chips in upper loop of 6. Reverse C3a - Normal die of C3 type. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: obverse:doubled ear, reverse:diagonal line upper tf s This is just 1 of "several" die pairs currently being called VAM-1. A good die study should help with that situation.
