Description
1884-S VAM-4 Far Date Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, March 1974. 4 III2 2 - C3a (Far Date) (187) Obverse III2 2 - Date set further right than normal. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Some specimens show a small die chip in the middle of the Y in LIBERTY (These would be the 1884-S VAM-4A and the EDS of same (IF there is an EDS version of the 4A). At the moment - there are several die pairs being called VAM-4. I have taken the liberty of assigning some "subnames" to each unique die pair I come across (IE; 1884-S VAM-4.1, 1884-S VAM-4.2....
