Revised 2000 Revised June 2023, updated obverse specification 41 (revised) III2 27 ยท C3x (Doubled Date, Dot on 0, Tripled Right Wreath) (185) Obverse III2 27 โ 1 doubled strongly on top of lower crossbar, left 8 doubled on surface at left inside of both loops and right outside of lower loop, right 8 doubled at lower left outside of upper loop. 0 doubled at top left and right outside, lower right outside, and slightly at lower left inside. Dot-shaped die chip on lower right of 0. Die Marker - Die polishing in LIBERTY and around cotton bolls Reverse C3x โ Tripled outer leaves of right wreath towards rim. Slightly doubled lower left wreath and LAR, right star and ERICA towards rim. Medium IV S mint mark centered and upright. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: This obverse shared with 1880-S VAM-41 and 1880-S VAM-53. This is probably a duplicate of the 1880-S VAM-53.
