1880-S VAM-30 Doubled Date, S/S Lower Inside, Die Chip Wing Discovered by Bill Fivaz, October 1973. Revised 2004, Revised 2017 30(revised) III2 20 · C3z (Doubled Date, S/S Lower Inside, Die Chip Wing) (185) Obverse III2 20 – Doubled date with 1 faintly on right surface of vertical shaft, left 8 doubled on surface at top inside and right outside of lower loop, right 8 doubled at left outside of upper loop and 0 doubled faintly on right inside. Tiny die chip at chin edge on some EDS specimens. Reverse C3z – S/S lower inside mint mark with die chip in eagle's right wing near tip of wreath.
