1880-S VAM-22 Doubled 880 Discovered by Bill Fivaz, July 1973. 22(revised) III2 14 - C3c (Doubled 880) (188) Obverse III2 14 – 880 doubled in date. Left 8 slightly doubled at top inside and right outside of lower loop. Right 8 top loop doubled at bottom outside of both sides and inside as a thin line at top and bottom. Doubled lower loop at top inside as a thin line. 0 doubled at top left and right sides and slightly at lower left inside. Reverse C3c – Normal die of C3 type with very large centered mintmark tilted left. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: This exact obverse is shared with VAM-21 and 1880-S VAM-22. This exact reverse die was used for 1880-S VAM-22, 1880-S VAM-63, 1880-S VAM-63A, 1880-S VAM-86 & 1880-S VAM-63B. REVIEW IS UNDERWAY TO REDUCE THIS AS THERE ARE DUPLICATES...
