1880-S VAM-15 S/S Right, Dash Under 8 Discovered by Arnie Ziem, December 1973. 15 III2 11 ∙ C3g (S/S Right, Dash Under 8) (183) Obverse III2 11 – Second 8 in date doubled at bottom left side as a thin curved line; a thin dash is set well below the bottom and the bottom left outside of the upper loop is slightly doubled. Reverse C3g – (medium) IV S mint mark repunched with original showing as a short vertical line at top right of upper loop opening and as a vertical curved line at very right side of lower loop opening.
