Description
The 1792 Getz-LEA Half Dollar is a half dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Washington Pieces (1783-1800) series. Produced during the earliest years of the United States Mint, when the young republic was establishing its monetary system and coinage traditions. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Struck in copper, weighing 13 grams, 33 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge. Cataloged as PCGS #927.
