Description
ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-47 Stages “B” & “C” This 1960D small date Lincoln cent shows an obverse die clash with the word STATES from the reverse being clashed into the area below Lincoln’s bust. The reverse does not show the reciprocal clash mark. Stage “B” shows vertical die scratches through the date and mint mark. Also seen is a strong die scratch between the I and T of UNITED. Stage “C” has developed a die chip in the R of LIBERTY on the obverse die. The reverse die has developed a die chip under the left arm of the T in CENT. Also notice the strong die scratch to the lower right of the T in CENT next to the rim. A small die crack has developed between the lower R and I of AMERICA.
