Error
Description
ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-22 This is another atypical 1960D(SD) Lincoln cent that shows multiple clash events. 1D 2 3 5 / 1 3 5D The first clash event left clash marks at the top of the obverse die and the bottom of the reverse die. It is apparent from the doubling that two clash events occurred in this area. The second clash event left clash marks at the bottom of the obverse die and the top of the reverse die. Notice the strong clash mark in the field to the left of the bottom of Lincoln’s bust. This was created by the field surrounding the E of UNITED. The last clash event is again been doubled indicating that two events occurred in this area. This clash event is considered not to be part of any other clash event due to the curvature of the dies.
