ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-03; Stage “B” & “C” 3 / 1 The overlay picture shows the relationship of the dies when they did meet. This die clash is on a 1960D small date Lincoln cent. The letters TAT from the word STATES can be seen clashed in the area below Lincoln’s bust A “bar” can be seen through the word STATES. This clash mark is generated by the field and the bottom of Lincoln’s bust. The above image shows stage “B” The above image shows stage “C” The above overlay shows the approximate position of the dies when they did clash. Stage “C” 3 4 / 1 The image to the left is stage “B”. Stage “C” to the right shows the addition of another independent die clash mark from the Memorial building roof line. Stage “B” is the image to the left. Stage “C” to the right has developed a die chip in the right edge of the cornice. The die chip in the O of ONE remains the same for both stages
