Description

The first cataloged VarietyVista doubled die reverse for the 2025 Dr. Vera Rubin quarter, the VDDR-001 represents a historically significant variety as it falls on the final issue of the American Women Quarters program that ran from 2022 through 2025. Dr. Vera Rubin was the pioneering astronomer whose groundbreaking observations of galaxy rotation curves provided compelling evidence for the existence of dark matter. The doubling manifests as a medium spread on the ring under LL of DOLLAR, the upper left area of the A in DOLLAR, hair strands below the ear, and the hair where the glasses meet the head.
