Description

Medium spread northward on banner stripes number 9 and number 11 along with the right shield edge characterizes VDDR-001 on the 2023 Denver Mint Lincoln Shield Cent. Cataloged by VarietyVista with UVC and DMR codes pending assignment, die stage B documents the reverse at early-mid die state with a light die crack on the upper left shield edge, progressing to MDS with a light die crack on Lincoln's forehead. The Shield Cent reverse, introduced in 2010, features a union shield with horizontal and vertical stripes representing the states joined in union. The northward spread on stripes 9 and 11 and the right edge creates secondary impressions displaced upward on these vertical design elements, where the geometric stripe pattern displays hub displacement as parallel shifted lines.
