Sixth reverse doubled die documented for the 2019 Jefferson nickel by the Wexler Team, WDDR-006 presents Class VIII (Tilted Hub Doubling) visible below the upper portion of the door frame on the center door above the steps of the Monticello building. Class VIII doubling occurs when the hub tilts during the die sinking process, creating a displacement that varies in direction and magnitude across the die surface based on each area's position relative to the tilt axis — elements near the tilt axis show minimal doubling while those farther from the axis display greater separation. The 2019 Jefferson nickel uses the "Return to Monticello" reverse design reintroduced in 2006 after the two-year Westward Journey series, featuring a forward-facing view of Thomas Jefferson's Virginia estate with its distinctive columned portico. The center door and upper doorframe area sit at a key architectural focal point of the design, where the geometric precision of the portico's construction lines makes even subtle tilted hub displacement detectable as a secondary impression offset from the primary architectural elements. Reverse die markers include a die gouge positioned below the second U of PLURIBUS — a small raised irregularity on struck coins that provides a fingerprint diagnostic independent of the doubled die characteristic.
