The 2015 (S) Saratoga National Park Quarter is a quarter minted at the San Francisco Mint, within the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The U.S. Mint produced 888,380 examples, making this the lowest mintage among 15 mint variants, representing only less than 1% of total production. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts British General Burgoyne surrendering his sword to American General Gates. Saratoga preserves the site of the 1777 battles widely considered the turning point of the Revolutionary War, as the American victory convinced France to enter as an ally.
