2015 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-016

Description

Sixteenth doubled die reverse documented for the 2015 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge quarter, WDDR-016 shows doubling as extra blades of grass above the right end of the upper grass strip between the great egret and the great blue heron. Cross-referenced as CONECA 3-R-VIII under Wexler Variety ID 2015-P 25' DE WDDR-016, the Class VIII tilted hub doubling produced displacement in the vegetation detail of the reverse design. No significant obverse or reverse die markers were noted, meaning attribution relies primarily on the doubling characteristics — specifically, the extra grass blades above the right end of the upper strip, distinguishing this variety from other Bombay Hook DDRs that show doubling below or at different positions along the same grass strip. The Bombay Hook reverse's marsh habitat scene, with its layers of grasses separating the two wading birds, created a design rich with fine parallel elements where even minor hub displacement could produce visible extra detail.
