Description

Thirty-fifth doubled die reverse for the 2015-P Delaware America the Beautiful Quarter, WDDR-035 shows strong doubling above the central part of the middle grass strip between the great egret and the great blue heron on the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge reverse design. Distinctive die markers narrow attribution: the reverse shows a die chip inside the great blue heron's eye and another below the eye — features that function as fingerprints for this specific working die. The obverse carries no significant die markers. The Bombay Hook reverse, depicting two shorebirds in a wetland habitat, provided variety researchers with detailed biological imagery where hub displacement could manifest across feather details, grass textures, and water features.
