Description

The 2009-P Lincoln Cent (Early Childhood) DDR-028 is cataloged by VarietyVista under die tracking codes UVC-2746 and DMR-031. The doubling appears as extra lower log ends, specifically on logs numbered 10 and 11 in the log cabin construction depicted on the reverse. Stage A (EDS, unconfirmed), Stage B (MDS, confirmed), and Stage C (LDS, unconfirmed) are recorded, with the MDS the best-confirmed stage at attribution time. The 2009 Lincoln Cent - Early Childhood design commemorates the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth; the reverse depicts the Kentucky log cabin where Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 — the same date as Charles Darwin — near Hodgenville, Kentucky. The four reverse designs issued in 2009 replaced the long-running Lincoln Memorial reverse introduced in 1959.
