Description

Eighteenth doubled die reverse documented for the 2007 Philadelphia George Washington Presidential Dollar in Position B edge lettering, WDDR-018 shows doubling at the intersection of the second ray clockwise from Liberty's head and the right arm of the Statue of Liberty. This precise location on the reverse design places the doubling where two design elements converge, making displacement visible at their junction. Obverse markers include die gouges to the right of the lower T and to the right of the bottom of the N in WASHINGTON. The reverse carries a small die gouge centered between the F of OF and the first A of AMERICA. Cataloged under Wexler Variety ID 2007-P $1 GW WDDR-018.
