Bearing the Wexler Variety ID 2007-P $1 GW WDDR-015, this doubled die reverse appears on the Position B Presidential Dollar honoring George Washington, the first issue in the series launched in 2007. The doubling manifests as minor extra thickness at the intersection of the second ray clockwise from the head and the right arm of the Statue of Liberty on the common reverse used across all Presidential Dollars. While subtle, diagnostic die markers support attribution: the obverse is in early die state with no significant markers, and the reverse displays a small die gouge appearing as a dot to the right of the A in STATES. The Position B designation indicates the edge lettering reads normally when the coin is rotated on its vertical axis from the reverse side. Presidential Dollars featured edge-incused date, mintmark, and motto — a production innovation that generated its own set of error varieties.
